12. Alles aus Liebe

Zitate

Maurice: "Sexual promiscuity is de rigueur for rock stars.
But you have any idea of the amount of tail that astronauts have to contend with?"
Joel: "No, I don‘t."
Maurice: "A lot. Yours truly usually refrained from dipping his wick into the oil lamp but Ingrid was one groupie that I never had the wherewithal to say no to."
Joel: "Mrs. Klochner is an astrounaut groupie?"
Maurice: "Some women, when they see a man brave enough to blast off into the darkness of infinity in a Thinsulate suit a lot of women get excited."
Joel: "Excited, maybe. Excited, okay. But this is way beyond excited. This is, this is really excited."

Dave (Doktor David Ginsberg): "You wouldn‘t feel like blowing a couple of moose away this weekend, would you? I mean: You and me?"
Holling: "Thank you, Dave, but a few years ago, I started seeing things through elk eyes. Now the only thing I shoot wildlife with is Fujifilm."
Dave: "Oh, yeah, right."

Ingrid Klochner ("Astronaut Groupie"): "You‘re so good to me, Maurice. It‘s just that..."
Maurice: "What? What are you trying to say, Ingrid?"
Ingrid Klochner: "I think maybe I should stay in town tonight."
Maurice: "Tonight? You mean, the whole night?"
Ingrid Klochner: "Yes."
Maurice: "Ingrid, you know I‘m better in the morning. This was just a prelude, a preliminary to the main event."
Ingrid Klochner: "I just don‘t feel right about..."
Maurice: "Because I wasn‘t the first to ride the top of that rocket?
My God, Ingrid, I‘m not Shepard. Don‘t you think I‘ve spent my whole life thinking, ‘Why Al? Why Al?‘"
Ingrid Klochner: "Maurice, this has nothing to do with..."
Maurice: "All right, I‘m second string."

Maurice: "Joel, there goes a fine woman. I guess, it‘s kind of cornball, me going on and on like this about her."
Joel: "No. Aktually, it‘s kind of sweet."
Maurice: "Sweet?"
Joel: "Yeah."
Maurice: "Joel. We‘re talking sex here, pure and simple. Now, it may be a lot of things, but it‘s not sweet. What Ingrid and I have is comparable to a fully-loaded X-15 firing at 57,000 pounds of thrust.
You may not understand that now but when you get to be an old bear like me, you will. Oops! Sorry. Forgot about the crash. That was tactless of me.
But, you know in a way I envy you your demise."
Joel: "You envy my dying?"
Maurice: "Yeah. I comes to all of us, son. You know what my greatest fear is? Slipping in the shower. Having a heart attack sitting on the john. Sleep apnoea.
Going out with a whimper instead of a bang.
You know, Fleischman, in a lot of ways, you‘re lucky."
Joel: "Lucky?"
Maurice: "You‘ll be sailing along, peacefully. Then all off a sudden, wham.
You‘re pinned back against your seat, wind screaming in your ears, cold air everywhere, glass shattering, darkness coming at you from all directions.
And then oblivion."

Chris: "Alle möglichen Menschen lieben alle möglichen Menschen. Nichts davon gibt einen Sinn."
